The other two blocks for an ALA quilt

Here are the other two blocks that I recently made for a different quilt for the ALA BiblioQuilters. ALA Log Cabin Blocks This quilt will have all purple and green Log Cabin blocks, and I volunteered to make one of each. It will also be part of the Silent Auction that will be held at the American Library Association meeting this summer in Anaheim. The center block will be the same in all of them, and the organizer also sent one purple and one green fabric, along with one beige that we could use if we wanted to. I used her purple and green ones on the longest outside positions, and the beige is in the top center of the purple one. I had not made a Log Cabin block in a long time but liked doing these and now want to do some more for myself!

Love the blocks, such nice colors! I have a log cabin quilt that I started several years ago and I really need to finish it. I have it on my UFO list on the yahoo group!

I've rediscovered my love of Log Cabin aswell. It's really addictive. Perhaps because it grows so quickly.

Nancy, love the blocks, especially the purple one. My first quilt was a Log Cabin and it has a special place in my heart. I just finished making 24 Log Cabins for a BOM I was doing and now I get to put the quilt together. It was the Marti Michell quilt Ramblin' Rose Meets Jamestown. I have all of my blocks made for this. The LC blocks were filler blocks and there were 12 different blocks that were the main blocks. I really like this quilt. I used Marti Michells's Log Cabin ruler and it made the block very easy to do....I will take a picture and post when I'm through. Log Cabins are fun, do one for yourself in your spare time! Quilty hugs to you, Linda

I love log cabin quilts--made one for my great aunt Beulah and it is one of my favorites! Yours is going to be quite a stunner judging by the high contrast and colors--can't wait to see it done!
